Who we are looking for
A Business Development Representative to help drive lead generation, manage inbound prospects, and build relationships with potential clients. This person will be the first point of contact for many of our new opportunities and will play an essential role in building our local presence.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow in sales and digital marketing while learning directly from experienced leadership.
Responsibilties
- Qualify inbound leads, schedule discovery calls, and manage follow-ups
- Conduct outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, networking) to generate new leads
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings with local businesses and partners
- Collaborate with our team to refine messaging and improve sales processes
- Shadow senior leadership during client calls and eventually lead first meetings
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM to track leads, meetings, and opportunities
- Research potential industries and identify growth opportunities in the Portland area
- Represent 97 Switch professionally as we expand our local presence
What You Bring
- 0–3 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or a client-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm for building relationships and helping businesses succeed
- Highly organized with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Comfortable working both remotely and in-person (Portland area required)
- Interest in digital marketing, branding, and design
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive) is a bonus, but not required
- A collaborative, growth mindset—you aren’t afraid to try new things or iterate
