Cardinal Investment Advisors’ Goals

Cardinal Investment Advisors serve institutional investors with unique liability streams. Through development, implementation and sustainment of customized investment strategies tailored to each client’s needs, they help fulfill client’s investments and operating goals in an independent and conflict-free manner. As they approached their 20 year anniversary, they were in the middle of a rebranding experience and needed a partner to implement their brand online with a new website and digital marketing strategy. We began by translating their new branding guidelines into an updated website with new messaging and visuals, while also integrating the best practices in search engine optimization. We also implemented a 2021 digital marketing strategy focused on content and social media marketing.

Implementing New Brand Guidelines

Cardinal worked with an independent designer to create the brand guidelines and needed a partner to implement them. We interpreted their brand guidelines and actualized them in the website design, marketing decks, and additionally created a video announcing their new logo.

We wanted to communicate that the firm is well established as a 20-year-old company while also portraying that they are a modern company. We utilized photos from their different locations and a brand new photoshoot of employees and their office to portray both transparency and professionalism.

Digital Strategy

A new website was the first step in updating Cardinal’s digital strategy and we were there to help them consider other steps in their process. Along with the website design, we included updates on search engine optimization features on their site to help them appear on search engines. We also created a content and social media marketing plan for 2021 as they shifted their focus from conferences and events to digital engagement.

Social Media Marketing

In the past, Cardinal focused marketing efforts on conferences and events. In 2020 and 2021, most of those events had either been cancelled or had shifted dramatically, so they were looking for a new avenue in which to be involved in industry conversations. We helped them establish a content marketing strategy focused on their industry knowledge and experience as well as celebrating their firm and employees’ accomplishments. We kept a tight focus on their new website, as well as updating and building their LinkedIn presence. The process led to increased engagement among managing directors and other employees internally and greater awareness of their activities among their colleagues and clients.
