Retargeting ads are made to reach users who have already visited your hotel’s website. This is crucial because the vast majority of users that visit your site will not book a room immediately. Sending them calls to action through ads on Meta, Google, and other platforms can push more conversions.
However, Apple’s iOS 14 update means retargeting will be more difficult for marketers across any industry. Users are now able to grant/deny you permission for their data to be tracked before downloading an app. With a significant portion of users denying, the audience your hotel will be able to retarget is much smaller than what is used to.
